«…This anniversary is a very good opportunity for all of us, spectators, art lovers and artists, to admire again this “glory” of painting who was rising so high.
El Greco so contemporary and at the same time so modern, although lost for almost 200 years, appeared again at the beginning of 20th century and was recognized as he was deserved.
We, painters, sculptors and engravers, who participate at this exhibition, (and I believe that I represent all my colleagues by saying these words) want to honor want to honor this Great Painter…»
